Well mostly, me. I need you. Yep, that's right: YOU! You may have stumbled on my blog by accident, you may be one of my BFF's, you may be a silent lurker (don't worry, I don't think your creepy--who doesn't blog lurk?!)
And why do I need you, you may be asking?
I need you to help me gather research for my thesis. I've had a major life epiphany about my thesis and what it should be. The short of it, I'm studying internet folklore and more specifically blogs and bloggers.
This is where you come in. I've got a lovely little questionnaire I need some answers to. Answers from you, answers from people that read your blog, answers from the people that read the blogs of the people that read your blogs, answers from the people. . . err I think you get it.
Here's the deal: Fill out the questionnaire in a word document, save it in .rtf (rich text file) and email it back to me at: thekingandi.blog{at}gmail{dot}com. Then if you'd be so kind, please post a link to my blog on your blog or a blog post. I'm hoping to get quite the response from this. The more responses I get, the much better my research and therefore thesis will be.
And since I'm not above bribery, there will be a lovely little drawing for a lovely little giftie certiftie from the Bullseye Boutique (or Target, if you will) for the grand total of $100.00. On (or around) May 1st, I will pick two responders to win the giftie certiftie. Just for answering my questionnaire.
And as I've proven I'm not above bribery: remember, dear BFF's, I don't start having babies until my thesis is done. If you ever want to see pictures of babies that the King and I co-created, you'll want to help me get this thesis done ASAP. (my mother and MIL are silently praying for you to help me!)

Ok, so you are basically brilliant. I would LOVE to fill out the questionnaire, but only if you promise to share your results;) I think it would be so interesting to find out what all of the blogging trends are. Good luck with your thesis! I'll fill out the survey as soon as I can and I will be sure to pass it along!
I want to see baby pictures on here - so I feel like I have to do this now... so when you finally do get pregnant, all your blogging friends want some credit :)

I filled out most of the questionairre, then saved it to finish later since I started it really late one night when I had insomnia and the next morning my computer wouldn't turn on and it still won't turn on, ARGH. Finally I bought a new computer, but didn't know when you would be stopped taking responses.
Hope you have gotten a lot of useful info.

I think this is great and will do it! However..did you know that if you used something like Survey Monkey you would be able to easily quantify and measure your results? Just a tip!

no time to fill this out just yet but wanted to tell you to check out www.google.com.docs. it's free. I'm pretty sure you can create a form and have it compile the results in a spreadsheet for you. Can't verify that right now because I'm at work and they blog Google Docs but... check it out. You'll probably get more results because it will be easier for people to respond.
Ok I've filled out the whole thing except for the list of blogs I read. I subscribe to 150 blogs in Google Reader plus a few more that I just hop over to from time to time. Instead of giving you the complete list can't I just give you like...a sampling? It would take forever to make an actual list!

Hi there - I came over just because of CJane. And while I love winning free things very much, I am already wanting to do this not because of the allure of said free goods, but because I wanted to be a folklore master's student after I graduated college. No joke. (Only my folklore interest was in the hills of Appalachia, where my dad's family is from.) Never got to it, so you are living my dream in a sense, and I am oh-so-happy to see someone living that dream. Awesome. :)

Well I hate babies, but I do love Target and helping out fellow social scientists (former psych/soc student). Doing questionnaire now.
I have to say, for most of us who are hardcore blog people, some of these questions are a pain in the tukis - especially list everyone and then label which ones you know personally. I think using a free online web form/survey might've been more helpful for the respondents. I know this is unsolicited feedback, ignore at will!
Won't let me copy and paste. I am usually not computer illiterate, so I don't know what is wrong with me. Maybe I'll try later on a different computer.
